The first lady of Nigeria has cut short her trip to return home to mourn her late foster mother. Mrs Patience Jonathan was on a three days trip to Geneva, Switzerland, where she had gone to receive an award as the Online Child Protection Champion from the international Telecommunication Union when she heard of the tragic death of her foster mother in a road accident on her way to Bayelsa State.
She returned home yesterday and was received by her husband - Goodluck Jonathan, the president's mother - Mrs Eunice Jonathan, Tony Anenih, Abdulsalami Abubakar, Chinedu Nebo, Peter Obi and other dignitaries.
