The mother of the First Lady of Nigeria has died in a road accident. Mrs. Iwarioba popularly called Sisi, died yesterday July 22, in an accident that occurred at Elele in Rivers State while she was on her way to Bayelsa State.
She body was taken to Kpaima Mortuary on Elechi Beach, mile One, Diobu, Port Harcourt, at about 6pm by self-acclaimed speaker of Rivers State House of Assembly. Evans Bipi, accompanied by many policemen.
The First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan, is in Geneva, Switzerland on a visit; she was immediately contacted and informed about the tragic news.
Though the Rivers sector commander of the FRSC, Dr Kayode Olagunji, and the Rivers Police spokesperson, Mrs Angela Agabe, could not confirm the incident, stressing that they were yet to get the details from their officers who were at the scene of the accident.
However, late Mrs Iwarioba is alleged to be Patience Jonathan's stepmother. Whichever way, may her soul rest in peace!
