18-years-old Miss Bayelsa 2013, Anna Ebiere Banner, outshone all other 31 contestants to win the 2013 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria. She was greeted with thunderous applause on the night her hometown, Bayelsa, hosted the contest for the first time and she outshone all other contestants from the beginning of the grand finale pageant to the end. It was the first time Miss Nigeria was hosted outside Lagos State.
When asked who she looks up to, she cited that she looks up to the president of Liberia, Elle Johnson Sirleaf, makinging reference to the manner the president had overcome adversity to become Liberia's leader.
