A 26-years-old Egyptian photographer captured his killer on camera. Ahmed Samir Assem was shot while taking photos outside the Republican Guard building in Cairo where ex Egyptian president is allegedly being held.
Grainy footage reported to be taken from Assem's camera show a soldier perched on a rooftop calmly aiming and firing into the crowd and ducking for cover between shots. The soldier then aims towards the camera and fires, then the footage goes blank.
Assem was one of the 51 people killed on Monday 8th July and his camera was the only one which filmed the entire incident.
Military claimed the attack were in retaliation after a terrorist group attempted to storm the building but the Muslim brotherhood members say the shootings were unprovoked. The footage will be used as evidence of violation.
