Although Hon Chidi Lloyd, the member of the Rivers State House of Assembly who was seen in a video that has gone viral plummeting his colleague, Michael Chinda, repeatedly with a mace has been blamed for such barbaric act, a latest video of the incident that transpired in the Chambers of the assembly has given a clue as to what really led Lloyd into taking that action.
Lloyd has repeatedly told those that cared to listen that Evans Bipi and the other members in his faction had earlier assaulted him prior to his retaliation, it didn’t go down well with most people because there were no clear evidence, unlike in the video he was seen plummeting his colleague to back up his claim.
However, the leader of the anti-Amaechi group who was purportedly elected the speaker by the five lawmakers believed to be loyal to some powers above, Hon. Bipi, confessed that he actually punched Lloyd earlier and it was Lloyd reaction on video that went viral.
Addressing a crowd of his rowdy supporters, Bipi confessed that he punched Lloyd when he came into the house, during the usual exchange of pleasantries. It was after this that Lloyd who had earlier escaped from the Chambers returned when the purportedly elected speaker was about to deliver his acceptance speech after been elected by the five lawmakers and descended on Michael Chinda.
