BREAKING NEWS: Train Accident In France Killed & Injured Many. (Photos)

At least 7 people have been confirmed dead and 60 seriously injured in a train accident that happened in the south of Paris this evening.

The high speed intercity train was travelling from the french capital to the city of Limoges when it derailed onto it's side in a train station in the suburb of Bretignu-sur-Orge at about 3.15pm GMT. Rescue workers are still trying to free passengers who are still trapped inside the train. The train was carrying 350 passengers when it derailed.

According to police report, the train arrived at the station at high speed, then it split into two for reasons still unknown. While one part of the train kept going, another fell unto its side.

The Mayor of Bretigny, Bernard Decaux, said "Three carriage are entangled with each other in front of the station, with another one lying a little further to the south. I have no idea of how many casualties but it may be very high. It is apocalyptic."
